Influencers In The Wild

As today’s brands grow cautious of their activations being coined “the next Fyre Fest”, Free People chose to become inspirational over aspirational. During my time at the brand, my team worked together to strategically utilize our partner and celebrity/influencer relationships to create a new event series that benefited different philanthropic groups, that reflected the FP brand vision.

At FP’s “Gather For Good” beach clean-up event with Surfrider in Santa Monica, I was tasked with planning and executing live social coverage as well as supporting through teaser and recap content. Through Instagram (Stories, Infeed and Influencer), I was able to successfully introduce the brand’s followers to the new #gatherforgood series, share education about Surfrider’s impacts and our commitments, while balancing best engagements practices through strong creative, a careful posting cadence and thoughtful highlights of key attendee’s and product.

Through this, I was able to help the campaign achieve a social media reach of 9.1 million (the second-highest social reach in the brand’s history.) and supported $20k in social/affiliate demand and was responsible for inviting the event’s top volume driving attendees.
